Talk to us about scaling or selling your boiler company

Call, text or email (604) 632-4959 or Ali@Sedighi.ca. You'll reach a senior strategist, and your plans stay between us.

Phone or text (604) 632-4959, or write to Ali@Sedighi.ca, and a senior strategist will pick it up, not a call centre. We keep office hours of Mon–Fri 9–6 Pacific. We usually reply within one business day.

Thinking about selling is a private matter. Nothing you tell us goes to your staff, your customers or anyone else without your say-so.

  1. You reach out

Call, text or email with a line about your business.

Three ways to reach us

Call

Best if you want to talk it through. Have a rough idea of your timeline and the size of your company, but you don't need anything prepared.

Text

Best if you're on a job site or would rather start discreetly. A short text is enough; we'll reply and arrange a call at a time that suits you.

Email

Best if you want to set out your situation in detail, or forward a list of questions to work through.

The buttons on this page open each channel directly with your topic filled in.

What to include in your first message

You don't need to share anything sensitive at the start. These five points help us give you a useful answer quickly:

  1. Your company's name and where it operates, for example the province and main towns you serve.
  2. What you do most: replacements, service and repairs, maintenance plans, new construction, commercial work.
  3. Your horizon: scaling for now, a partner, a family successor, or a sale, and roughly when.
  4. Your biggest worry, such as "the website is held by my old designer" or "customers only want me."
  5. When and how you'd like us to get back to you.

A template you can copy:

Hi, I run [Business name], a boiler company serving [City/region]. We mostly do [type of work]. I'm thinking about [scaling / bringing in a partner / selling] in about [timeframe]. My main concern is [concern]. Best time to reach me is [time].

What happens next

  1. We reply, usually within one business day, and arrange a call.
  2. We have a first conversation of about 30 to 45 minutes. We'll ask about your timeline, how customers reach you and who controls your accounts, and tell you honestly whether we can help.
  3. You get a short written summary of what we heard and what we'd suggest checking first, often the exit readiness review. If your questions are mainly about a transaction, we'll introduce you to Sedighi.ca.

There is no pressure to continue. Plenty of owners take the summary and act on it themselves.

Before you get in touch

If you'd like to prepare, three pages are worth reading:

Keeping the conversation confidential

Owners often worry that word will get out. In a small trade, a rumour that the owner is selling can unsettle technicians, suppliers and long-time customers. We keep your plans to ourselves, and we suggest you decide early, with your lawyer, who inside the company needs to know and when. If you prefer, use a personal number or address for the first exchange; we'll follow your lead on how and where we reply.

A few things to know about working with us

  • We are not a contractor. We don't send technicians or quote on boiler work. If a customer of yours reaches us by mistake, we'll point them back to you.
  • We don't give legal, tax, securities or real-estate advice. We'll tell you when to bring in your lawyer or accountant.
  • We work across Canada. Most work happens by phone and video, and we schedule around your heating season.
  • Your accounts stay yours. We work with manager access only, never ownership.
  • Our messages to you follow consent rules. We only email or text people who have contacted us first.

Frequently asked questions

Will my staff or customers find out I'm thinking of selling?

Not from us. We treat every conversation about scaling, succession or sale as confidential. Many owners start by texting from a personal phone, and that is fine.

Do I need to send financial statements?

No. A first conversation needs only a rough picture: what the company does, roughly how big it is, and your timeline. Detailed financials belong with your accountant and, later, your advisers.

Is the first conversation free?

Yes. The first call is free, and our plans begin with a 7-day free trial that needs no credit card. There is no obligation and no lock-in.

Can I talk to you if a sale is already under way?

Yes, but tell us in your first message. If diligence has started, the priorities are different, and we'll likely involve Sedighi.ca and ask you to keep your lawyer close from the outset.
